History of Ecuadorian cinema.
It existed two main periods of time that Ecuador passed threw. It was pre 1999 and post 1999. Before 1999, film industry in Ecuador was not well done, with the exception of Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Other major parts of Latin America were not capable to establish independent, substantial and durable film, because the dominance of Europe and U.S theaters. while there was a little way doing Ecuador, in the 20th century, there was no enthusiasm towards its beginning, also in foreign cosmetics, modern sanitation, gas stoves etc. The Golden Age of Ecuador is considered by 1920's with Augusto San Miguel, who made some films of Atahualpa's treasure and An Abyss and Two Souls. Almost all Latin American countries had their own pioneers, while talkies had just arrived. Ecuadorian films were mostly real documentary, whose budget and audience were modest. In 1970 universities began to offer film studies ,curriculums and local television stations. The government encourage film by Casa de la Cultura with the direction of Ulices Estrella. It was Sebastian Cordero, an Ecuadorian that gave birth to Ecuadorian cinema, with Ratas, Ratones and Rateros, 1999, and Cronicas. In 2006 Ecuador's congress stablished a National Film Council that encouraged local filmmakers.

Trailers.
According to Wikipedia the first trailer been shown in the U.S was in November 1913, with Nils Granlund with the short promotional film for the musical The pleasure Seekers, opening at the Winter Garden Theatre o Broadway.
Granlund was the first to introduce trailer material for motion picture, using a technique upcoming a film featuring Charlie Chaplin. During 1950's trailers were commonly created by National Screen Service, which made a descriptive the story. In 196p the face motion picture trailer changed, with textless, montages, quick editing and many techniques.
These earlier trailers were much shorter and often consisted of little more than title cards and stock footage. Today more elaborate trailers and commercial advertisements have replaced other entertainment.
Trailers are series of selected shots from the film being presented, it is like a summery of the most important parts of the movie. Trailers are made to attract an audience to the film, these excerpts are usually drawn from the most exciting, funny, or other moods noteworthy parts of the film but in abbreviated form and usually without producing spoilers.
For this purpose the scenes are not necessarily in the order in which they appear in the film. A trailer has to achieve that in less than two and a half minutes, the maximum length allowed by the MPAA.

Piranha 3D.
Hey guys this week I would be talking about this old movie that had been recently modify by Alexandre Aja, which was released this year. This movie is an Horror movie in 3D. The film had a small modify talking about the script. According to Wikipedia Chuck Russell was the responsible scheduled to direct the film, and made uncredited rewrites to the script by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger. Incorporating the original John Sayles script. The production of the fim began in 2008, but it had some delayed so it was in stand by until March 2009. This movie had a recently subject that we had already study during class which is CGI EFFECTS, we can find them in the fishes, the piranhas. This movie was complicated to made, because of the fishes and because it takes place most of the movie on a lake. The shooting for this film took place in the state of Arizona, in Lake Havasu. Its amazing how filmmakers flipped over and covered the water in blood. For this scene the water of the lake was dyed red for the shooting. Lakeshore Records released the soundtrack for this film which included a variety of types of songs like rap, dance, hip hop, and rnb. So we can said that this movie had a lot types of music that are songs that catch people's attention easily, and in that way get motivated. We can see frequently wide or long shots, so the viewer can catch or take a clear image of the scenes with the main plots involved. The props and the costumes matches correctly with the scenes, specially with the season where the film takes place, in summer and in a beach. According to Wikipedia, a general source, says that in the opening weekend the film grossed $10,106.872 in its first three days. The film had positive receptions. For me out of 10 I would give it a 7, it had a variety of songs where the filmmakers uses most of the movie wide shot to show us the main scenarios with the people in the lake. For this movie the uses of lighting is no common due to the scenario in which the movie takes place that is in the lake.

PHYSICAL EFFECTS IN MOVIES.
PHYSICAL EFFECTS
Physical effects are the ones that are performed in front of the camera, so it's exactly what is happening. Some kinds of these effects are the weather effects, collapsing buildings, water effects, pyrotechnics, explosions, etc.
When you referred to a weather effect it could be the wind. You can create wind with fans of different sizes. One example is Twister 1996.
Other example is the smoke, you smoke bombs, pressurized air, dry ice, car explotions, crashes etc. Also may be mechanical creatures known as animatronic, prosthetic make up like false organs , in which actors are smashing through a window, they are also considered physical effects.

Seven Pounds.
Hi guys, this week I was thinking about movies that I had already seen, so I remembered of one called seven pounds, which was released in 2008 by Gabriele Muccino. According to Wikipedia this film which is combines between drama and romance made by Columbia Pictures had a box office success, grossing $168,167,691 worldwide, three times its $55 million dollar production budget.
The film is based on a script written by Grant Nieporte. Filming this movie took place in various locations of LA, Pasadena, California and Malibu, and it began to be shooting in February 2008. Points of interest used in the film include the Travel Inn in Tujunga, California, the Colorado Bar, The Huntington Library, The Sheraton and The Pasadena Ice Skating Rink all in Pasadena, as well as Malibu Beach in Malibu, this are most of the scenarios of this film. Seven Pounds was promoted on a five-city tour across the United States in November 2008, screening in Cleveland, Miami, Dallas, St. Louis, and Denver to raise funds for food banks in each region. The main character which is Will Smith, is a young men who is ready to died, so he is meeting good people, with good hearts, humble people that are good inside, that are sick or are facing with illnesses. So he is meeting them to know their life and at the end donating them his organs. I think that the movie have a good message about life, which means that is very important to care about other people that need from you, also to be human, and if you can help people they would be grateful to receive your help. I think that the main character really focus on his role while performing the movie, he is so concentrate in this paper that he takes very seriously his character and his dialog, the way he talks toward people is really amazing that makes you catch easily his messages. The shots of this film are almost by medium shots and close ups, because in that way the author makes us see the moods of the characters, their reactions toward receiving the organs, and in that way we catch easily and faster the scene. The light are very combined, specially most of the inside scenarios, which means hotels, rooms, houses, because most of the are based to be filmed at night. This film has almost no digital effects or visual effects as other movies,it is simple in that way, but I really liked the message and the way that the author show us who few people in life care about the well of other human beings. God bless this kind of people.

Actors.
An actor, depends on his or her level of professional development, has many different roles and responsibilities. Generally an actor must be self-motivated and interested in promoting his or her abilities by interacting with other professionals in the career as their acting skills. The main purpose of an actor is to memorize and recite his/her lines, by providing himself an emotional response to the viewer, or specially an properly dialogue.
The actor is playing becomes real and authentic. A good actor is able to simply picking up a script at an audition and being able to enter the role effortlessly to be able to secure the part. Practicing, rehearsing and learning new techniques to expand the current abilities of the actor is a daily activity.
The life of an actor must be difficult, because he is the one that is the main role and important part of the movie. They are the ones that catches people attention.
Actors attend auditions to attempt to get a role that they can play.
Those actors on television or in movie roles have the opportunity to repeat filming of mistakes, but still they strive for perfection the first time. Actors, unless they have reached a level of fame, often have part or full time jobs in addition to their acting careers.

Hostel 2.
Hi guys, after a complicated week, I enjoyed watching a horror movie, called Hostel 2, that was released in 2007 by Eli Roth. This movie was performed poorly (according to wikipedia) at the box office totaling just $17 million by the end of its theatrical run whereas the original made $19 million in its opening weekend alone. Eli Roth shot scenes for the movie in the Prague online brothel Big Sister and in Iceland, the Blue Lagoon.
At the date of the U.S. premiere of the movie on June 8, 2007, interviews with the Hostel 2 director Eli Roth were released at Big Sister.
This film has a lot of medium shots, were lightning is combined during the movie, because the director wants to create fully horror scenes, since the beginning to the end of the movie. Thats why the director plays with the light and with the soundtrack. This movie has no music in special, the only thing of the soundtrack is the way that the actors scream.
(According to wikipedia) The film was considered by many a box office bomb. It opened in 6th place with only $8.2 million and went on to total $17.6 million by the end of its theatrical run. The film made more than its budget of $10.2 million. Comparatively, the original, with a much more modest budget of $4.8 million, opened at #1 with $19 million ($2 million more than Part II's final gross) and went on to make over $47 million.
Director Eli Roth blamed piracy for the film's box office results.
This movie has been restricted to adults in most countries, because of the bloody and strong scenes during the movie. it has been cut in Germany, Malaysia and Singapore.
The court in Munich decided that releasing the movie in this or the uncut version is to be punished.[14] Only a heavily edited "not under 18" version is still available. It was banned in New Zealand, after the distributor refused to cut the scene showing the tortures.
I think that the movie has a great scenes, where the shots and angles are well combined with the soundtracks.
