Ratas, Ratones, Rateros.

Ratas Ratones y Rateros
Hy everyone today I’m going to talk about an Ecuadorian movie called “ratas rarones y rateros” this movie was directed by Sebastian Cordero in 1999 is a dramatic film. One of the most important characters is Marcos Bustos as Salvador and Carlos Valencia as Angel, all the character makes a great role in the movie. This movie used a lot of shots like close up, extreme close up, medium shot, long shot over the shoulder etc that created a better perspective in the scenes. Also they used music and sound that was accorded to the movie and help to give emphasis to the scenes. Is an interesting film, but the dialogue was too strong and was not clear enough, for a young audience. The ending of this film is not complete, but the message that gave is very important and real for our daily lives.

Documentaries.

Documentaries are presenting facts objectively without editorializing or inserting matter, as in a book or film.
It scenes are carefully chosen and arranged, they are not scripted, and people are not actors. Documentaries are more
cheaper to produce, than commercial movies. Many today's examples of the documentary films have a political or otherwise controversial agenda, such as an Inconvenient Truth, Super Size Me, Fahrenheit 911. It is a movie shot on film stock.
The first documentary to be produced was in 1907, called The Unwritten Law. They are low risk studios. Sometimes a documentary film may rely on voice over the narration to describe what is happening in the footage. In other cases the footage would speak for itself. A documentary includes interviews with the people in the film. Documentaries include or can be biological films about a living or dead person, a well known event, a live performance etc. It is a broad category of moving pictures intended to document some aspect of reality.

PEARL HARBOR.

Hi everyone, this week I would likely to talk about Pearl Harbor, a movie released in 2001, that is an American action war film directed by Michael Bay and produced by Bay. It features a large ensemble cast, including Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Alec Baldwin, Jon Voight, Kate Beckinsale, Cuba Gooding etc.
Pearl Harbor is a dramatic reimagining of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Some of its scenes were among the last to be filmed in Technicolor. Despite receiving negative reviews from critics, Pearl Harbor became one of the highest-grossing films of 2001 according to Wikipedia. (copy, paste)
Production

The main budget of this film was about $208 million. In order to recreate the atmosphere of a pre war like it was as Pearl Harbor, the producers had the advantages of staging the film in Hawaii and using the current Naval facilities, although for the sake of expediency and due to the present use of the base. Rosarito served as the ideal location to recreate the death throes of the battleships in the Pearl Harbor attack.
According to Wikipedia the film grossed US$200 million at the domestic box office and US$450 million worldwide. The film was ranked the sixth highest-earning picture of 2001.
As the movie is being presented, this has several shots, specially Master shots, to show us the main scenarios of Japan and US, also to show us the mayor scenes of attack and also medium shots of the characters, to show us the moods that they got towards decisions or problems that they had to face. Most of the scenes were filmed during day.

At the 2002 Academy Awards, Pearl Harbor was nominated for four awards, winning one for Sound Effects Editing. Its other nominations were for Best Sound, Best Visual Effects, and Best Song.

Treatments.

The purpose of a treatment is a summary of your story written with that it could be sell to television, print, or film. In a treatment, you've got anywhere from one to ten pages to pitch your story, so concise writing is important.
First you have to create an outline of your story, and introduce the main characters, the plot, the climax and the end.
Then it would be necessary to write your first draft of the treatment, and to worry about the length.
You also could remove any unnecessary sentence, adjectives, adverbs etc. The editor is more likely to read shorter treatments.
Research a market for your story using online resources or writer's magazines and books.

LAST SONG.

Well this week I would be talking about this film made by Julie Anne and based on a novel written by Nicholas Sparks.
This film combines from love, family, opportunities, goals, life, and problems.s. The main actors in this film are Miley Cyrus and Greg Kinnear. In this movie, at first we can see a broken family and in it we can understand all the bad consequences that a family in that way brings to the kids. Then we can see a rebel girl that wants to do whatever she wants but in the transition of the movie we can see that her relation with her father starts to improve and they start to talk and be friends. But after days passes, a man appears and they got in love but they were very different but then many things appear and many other things were discovered that would change completely the movie.

At the end of the movie, a lot of messages appeared. Because we can see that life is not what we think it is, it's difficult, it's not easy so we have to learn from our mistakes and try to don't make them again. We have to live every day as if it's our last day. We have to tell people what we feel about them and we have to take advantage of everything we have.

In the movie we can see many shots, wide shot, high level, bird's eye, close-up, extreme close-up, long shot, medium shot and two shot. The shots made us understand more the movie and focused ourself in what the director wanted to focus us. The lights were very good because we can see everything very clear and the backgrounds were simple. The sets and places were very well also because they made us feel like the situations were real.

Costumes designes job.

The most important thing in a movie is the costume that the characters will going to use during the production of the film. Costume designers are the ones who create the character's costume , they have to use their imagination to create something new and according to the role of the character that they are going to be performing.
Before creating the costumes, the designer needs to read the role of the character in the movie , the things that the character like, the personality ,etc. because creating a costume it has to be according to the character.
They are the ones that creates the look of each character by designing clothes and accessories the actors will wear in performance. Their designs need to faithfully reflect the personalities of the characters in the script.
Costumes provide audiences the information about a character's occupation, status, gender, age, sense of style and tendencies towards conformity or individualism. As well, costumes can tell the characters mood, the age, the actors appearance etc.

Costume designs need to include many accessories that the character would be using, such as canes, hats, gloves, shoes, jewelry or masks. These props add a great deal of visual interest to the overall costume design.

Costume designers begin their work by reading the script to be produced.

La Rafle.
Hi guys, after being studying some German History this short week,I had recently watched a film made by Alain Goldman, released at the beginning of this year call La Rafle or The Round Up. This movie is directed by Roselyne Bosch, produced by Alain Goldman, written by Roselyne Bosch, edited by Plantin Alice and the starting are by Melaine Laurent, Jean Reno Sylvie Testud, Gad Elmaleh and Raphaelle Agogue. According to Wikipedia, the budget of this French film was about € 20,000,000 and a gross revenue of € 24,234,537. This film is based on the true story of a young Jewish boy that since the beginning had to pass threw difficult moments where he and his family life is under danger. The costumes of this film are characterized of Jewish people that used to wear during this time that was non extravagant cloth, with a yellow star that meant that they were Jewish people. Their cloth were characterized because of this star that they had to wear in their clothes. So their costume were all known and noticeable. The props that this movie uses are the common as other real stories movies uses, to express the reality that it might had occurred during that difficult time, in order to let us catch they way of living, the director encourage the using of a messy place in which Jewish people used to lived over that conditions that they may leave any moment. So the background or setting are from messy departments like small neighborhoods to working camps, which this is the one that the director uses the most to show the movie. The scenes of this films are believable, because that's the purpose of the director, to show us the real story that Jewsish people had to pass during WW2, with Hitler in power as the Fuhrer. The props, the costumes, the main plots that the character had to face while the movie continues and the music being used matches with the real scenes being used to express that kind of mood that can't be explained toward ourselves, where human life was miserable and extremely bad treated. The film with the uses of the scenes, plots, dialogues, actions and sound catch our attention easily toward our feelings that creates us a melancholy mood. This film I consider that goes fast, which I think that its good and correct, because in that time the main actions that Hitler took over Germany and later on at other territories they were no slow, the opposite, his actions were fast and smarter, so I think that the movie is well presented with a faster way. This film play with the shots, where at the beginning it plays long shots, showing us the entire scenes, which is Paris, even do we can noticed because of the Eiffel Tower, then it is being showed some close ups to the character to show us their way of actions and moods that this situation that they had to live created to them. The filmmaker plays with the lights in most of the darker scenes, which are departments, camps were they used to sleep and other major places were the movie takes place. The production of this film was made by Bosch, which he decided to put and made this film as La Rafle because she felt sympathy with the victims, in the other hand her husband's family were Jewish people, and her father had been detained in Francisco Franco interment camps, so she felt connection with all this thing circumstances. So she discovered Joseph Weisman and Annette Monod, whose memories would eventually form the base of the entire script.
The shooting of this film began in May 2009, and lasted over 13 weeks, were 9,000 extras were used, and concentration camps were re constructed in Hungary of the shooting of this main parts. The dialogue of this film is simple, which I mean that the frases or words being used are understandable, the dialogue is ok, where I mean that it is not based on many words or concentrated of dialgue, which is corrects because it is showed more in the actions that the character had to pass.

Ecuadorian Films.

Hi guys I would like to talk about this two films that I had just study in class which are: Guayaquil de mis amores and La divina cancion.
Guayaquil de mis amores was a movie directed by Francisco Diunmejo in 1930. This film was the first movie that used synchronized sounds, and also this film was the first movie sung. This movie was produced by Ecuador Sono Films, which had great figures from Ecuadorian music and famous Cuban dancers of the year. According to an Ecuadorian news, 70 thousands went to watch this film.
L divina cancion was a movie created by Alberto Santana in 1931. It is a classic love, which is the center of Guayaquilenan music. Martha Blacio is a young poor girl that is in love with Jorge Rando, a young guy who studies medicine, but at the same time, she is courted by a old doctor called Ferres. Martha gives her love to him because he was a rich doctor, and she needed the mobey to take care of her sick mother, but at the end her mother died. Jorge knows about it and finally Martha knew that he had noticed about his love with the doc. so she ends killing herself. This movie includes some sounds and music from Enrique Ibanez.
This two films are very old, but we can notice by the last one that the theme was very original, with Ecuadorian reality about love.

2000 movie area.

During this time there was a change over film industry because of technology. There was a growing problem of digital distribution to be overcome with regards to expiration of copyrights, content security, and enforcing copyright.
More films were also being released simultaneously to IMAX cinema, the first was in 2002's Disney animation Treasure Planet; and the first live action was in 2003's. Each day that passes by, technology is coming out, so that means new machines, new effects, new film industry to manage movies.
There has been an increasing globalization of cinema during this decade, with foreign-language films gaining popularity in English-speaking markets.
Recently there has been a revival in 3D film popularity the first being James Cameron's Ghosts of the Abyss which was released as the first full-length 3-D IMAX feature filmed with the Reality Camera System.
This camera system used the latest HD video cameras, not film, and was built for Cameron by Emmy nominated Director of Photography Vince Pace, to his specifications.
As of 2010, 3D movies were gaining and increasing popularity. After James Cameron's 3D movie Avatar became the highest-grossing film of all time, many other movies have followed suit and been released in 3D.
One major new development in the early 21st century is the development of systems that make it much easier for regular people to write, shoot, edit and distribute their own movies without the large apparatus of the film industry.
We can notice that every day films are changing, with new innovations about editing and production, which make the be more creative and original.

The lord of the rings.

Hi guys, this week I would be talking about this film trilogy called The Lord of the rings that began in 2001 by Peter Jackson.
As we know, its first film was called the fellowship of the ring, the second one called the two towers in 2002, and the last one released in 2003, The return of the king. This movie was directed by Peter Jackson, produced by Barrie M. Osborne, Fran Walsh, Mark Ordesky, written by Fran Walsh. This films is notable by the use of visual effects, which means physical effects and CGI effects in the entire movie. According to an official source which is Wikipedia, was considered to be one of the biggest and most ambitious movie projects ever undertaken, with a budget of $285 million, in which this film took about eight years, with the filming for all three films done simultaneously and entirely in Jackson's native New Zealand.
This movie was a great financial success, in which it was considered one of the fifth highest-grossing film series of all time behind Harry Potter, James Bond, Star Wars, and Shrek. The films were critically acclaimed and heavily awarded, winning 17 out of 30 Academy Awards nominated in total. The last movie released in 2003, The Return of the King, won all 11 of the Academy Awards for which it was nominated, Academy Awards received for a film. The trilogy received wide praise for the cast and for the innovative practical and digital special effects. As we can see this movie was not easy to made, thats why we can see its complexity during the presentation of the three movies, that means that we can find a variety of shots and angles, from wide shots, for the entire view of the scenes which the movies takes places, in huge castle to close up shots to show character's mood.
Jackson began storyboarding the trilogy with Christian Rivers in August 1997 and assigned his crew to begin designing Middle-earth at the same time. For this film Jackson hired long time Richard Taylor to lead Weta Workshop on five major designa elements: armour, weapons, make-up, creatures, and miniatures. Most of the imagery in the films is based on their various ill

The trilogy of this movie was shot at over 150 different locations, with seven different units shooting, as well as soundstages around Wellington and Queenstown. It's amazing how this huge production made over 540 effect shots in the first movie, the second 799, and the third 1,488 , making a total of 2,730 in total effects. The total increases to 3,420 with the extended editions. 260 visual effect artists began work on the trilogy, and the number doubled by The Two Towers. History of Ecuadorian cinema.

It existed two main periods of time that Ecuador passed threw. It was pre 1999 and post 1999. Before 1999, film industry in Ecuador was not well done, with the exception of Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Other major parts of Latin America were not capable to establish independent, substantial and durable film, because the dominance of Europe and U.S theaters. while there was a little way doing Ecuador, in the 20th century, there was no enthusiasm towards its beginning, also in foreign cosmetics, modern sanitation, gas stoves etc. The Golden Age of Ecuador is considered by 1920's with Augusto San Miguel, who made some films of Atahualpa's treasure and An Abyss and Two Souls. Almost all Latin American countries had their own pioneers, while talkies had just arrived. Ecuadorian films were mostly real documentary, whose budget and audience were modest. In 1970 universities began to offer film studies ,curriculums and local television stations. The government encourage film by Casa de la Cultura with the direction of Ulices Estrella. It was Sebastian Cordero, an Ecuadorian that gave birth to Ecuadorian cinema, with Ratas, Ratones and Rateros, 1999, and Cronicas. In 2006 Ecuador's congress stablished a National Film Council that encouraged local filmmakers.

Trailers.

According to Wikipedia the first trailer been shown in the U.S was in November 1913, with Nils Granlund with the short promotional film for the musical The pleasure Seekers, opening at the Winter Garden Theatre o Broadway.
Granlund was the first to introduce trailer material for motion picture, using a technique upcoming a film featuring Charlie Chaplin. During 1950's trailers were commonly created by National Screen Service, which made a descriptive the story. In 196p the face motion picture trailer changed, with textless, montages, quick editing and many techniques.

These earlier trailers were much shorter and often consisted of little more than title cards and stock footage. Today more elaborate trailers and commercial advertisements have replaced other entertainment.

Trailers are series of selected shots from the film being presented, it is like a summery of the most important parts of the movie. Trailers are made to attract an audience to the film, these excerpts are usually drawn from the most exciting, funny, or other moods noteworthy parts of the film but in abbreviated form and usually without producing spoilers.
For this purpose the scenes are not necessarily in the order in which they appear in the film. A trailer has to achieve that in less than two and a half minutes, the maximum length allowed by the MPAA.

Piranha 3D.

Hey guys this week I would be talking about this old movie that had been recently modify by Alexandre Aja, which was released this year. This movie is an Horror movie in 3D. The film had a small modify talking about the script. According to Wikipedia Chuck Russell was the responsible scheduled to direct the film, and made uncredited rewrites to the script by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger. Incorporating the original John Sayles script. The production of the fim began in 2008, but it had some delayed so it was in stand by until March 2009. This movie had a recently subject that we had already study during class which is CGI EFFECTS, we can find them in the fishes, the piranhas. This movie was complicated to made, because of the fishes and because it takes place most of the movie on a lake. The shooting for this film took place in the state of Arizona, in Lake Havasu. Its amazing how filmmakers flipped over and covered the water in blood. For this scene the water of the lake was dyed red for the shooting. Lakeshore Records released the soundtrack for this film which included a variety of types of songs like rap, dance, hip hop, and rnb. So we can said that this movie had a lot types of music that are songs that catch people's attention easily, and in that way get motivated. We can see frequently wide or long shots, so the viewer can catch or take a clear image of the scenes with the main plots involved. The props and the costumes matches correctly with the scenes, specially with the season where the film takes place, in summer and in a beach. According to Wikipedia, a general source, says that in the opening weekend the film grossed $10,106.872 in its first three days. The film had positive receptions. For me out of 10 I would give it a 7, it had a variety of songs where the filmmakers uses most of the movie wide shot to show us the main scenarios with the people in the lake. For this movie the uses of lighting is no common due to the scenario in which the movie takes place that is in the lake.

PHYSICAL EFFECTS IN MOVIES.

PHYSICAL EFFECTS
Physical effects are the ones that are performed in front of the camera, so it's exactly what is happening. Some kinds of these effects are the weather effects, collapsing buildings, water effects, pyrotechnics, explosions, etc.

When you referred to a weather effect it could be the wind. You can create wind with fans of different sizes. One example is Twister 1996.

Other example is the smoke, you smoke bombs, pressurized air, dry ice, car explotions, crashes etc. Also may be mechanical creatures known as animatronic, prosthetic make up like false organs , in which actors are smashing through a window, they are also considered physical effects.

Seven Pounds.

Hi guys, this week I was thinking about movies that I had already seen, so I remembered of one called seven pounds, which was released in 2008 by Gabriele Muccino. According to Wikipedia this film which is combines between drama and romance made by Columbia Pictures had a box office success, grossing $168,167,691 worldwide, three times its $55 million dollar production budget.
The film is based on a script written by Grant Nieporte. Filming this movie took place in various locations of LA, Pasadena, California and Malibu, and it began to be shooting in February 2008. Points of interest used in the film include the Travel Inn in Tujunga, California, the Colorado Bar, The Huntington Library, The Sheraton and The Pasadena Ice Skating Rink all in Pasadena, as well as Malibu Beach in Malibu, this are most of the scenarios of this film. Seven Pounds was promoted on a five-city tour across the United States in November 2008, screening in Cleveland, Miami, Dallas, St. Louis, and Denver to raise funds for food banks in each region. The main character which is Will Smith, is a young men who is ready to died, so he is meeting good people, with good hearts, humble people that are good inside, that are sick or are facing with illnesses. So he is meeting them to know their life and at the end donating them his organs. I think that the movie have a good message about life, which means that is very important to care about other people that need from you, also to be human, and if you can help people they would be grateful to receive your help. I think that the main character really focus on his role while performing the movie, he is so concentrate in this paper that he takes very seriously his character and his dialog, the way he talks toward people is really amazing that makes you catch easily his messages. The shots of this film are almost by medium shots and close ups, because in that way the author makes us see the moods of the characters, their reactions toward receiving the organs, and in that way we catch easily and faster the scene. The light are very combined, specially most of the inside scenarios, which means hotels, rooms, houses, because most of the are based to be filmed at night. This film has almost no digital effects or visual effects as other movies,it is simple in that way, but I really liked the message and the way that the author show us who few people in life care about the well of other human beings. God bless this kind of people.

Actors.

An actor, depends on his or her level of professional development, has many different roles and responsibilities. Generally an actor must be self-motivated and interested in promoting his or her abilities by interacting with other professionals in the career as their acting skills. The main purpose of an actor is to memorize and recite his/her lines, by providing himself an emotional response to the viewer, or specially an properly dialogue.

The actor is playing becomes real and authentic. A good actor is able to simply picking up a script at an audition and being able to enter the role effortlessly to be able to secure the part. Practicing, rehearsing and learning new techniques to expand the current abilities of the actor is a daily activity.

The life of an actor must be difficult, because he is the one that is the main role and important part of the movie. They are the ones that catches people attention.

Actors attend auditions to attempt to get a role that they can play.
Those actors on television or in movie roles have the opportunity to repeat filming of mistakes, but still they strive for perfection the first time. Actors, unless they have reached a level of fame, often have part or full time jobs in addition to their acting careers.

Hostel 2.

Hi guys, after a complicated week, I enjoyed watching a horror movie, called Hostel 2, that was released in 2007 by Eli Roth. This movie was performed poorly (according to wikipedia) at the box office totaling just $17 million by the end of its theatrical run whereas the original made $19 million in its opening weekend alone. Eli Roth shot scenes for the movie in the Prague online brothel Big Sister and in Iceland, the Blue Lagoon.

At the date of the U.S. premiere of the movie on June 8, 2007, interviews with the Hostel 2 director Eli Roth were released at Big Sister.
This film has a lot of medium shots, were lightning is combined during the movie, because the director wants to create fully horror scenes, since the beginning to the end of the movie. Thats why the director plays with the light and with the soundtrack. This movie has no music in special, the only thing of the soundtrack is the way that the actors scream.
(According to wikipedia) The film was considered by many a box office bomb. It opened in 6th place with only $8.2 million and went on to total $17.6 million by the end of its theatrical run. The film made more than its budget of $10.2 million. Comparatively, the original, with a much more modest budget of $4.8 million, opened at #1 with $19 million ($2 million more than Part II's final gross) and went on to make over $47 million.
Director Eli Roth blamed piracy for the film's box office results.
This movie has been restricted to adults in most countries, because of the bloody and strong scenes during the movie. it has been cut in Germany, Malaysia and Singapore.
The court in Munich decided that releasing the movie in this or the uncut version is to be punished.[14] Only a heavily edited "not under 18" version is still available. It was banned in New Zealand, after the distributor refused to cut the scene showing the tortures.

I think that the movie has a great scenes, where the shots and angles are well combined with the soundtracks.

THE IMPORTANCE OF SOUND IN FILMS.

In early years in the silent films, the images being shoots in films on screen where supported by a piano player, organ or even an orchestra, the sound establishes all kinds of moods for the viewers and that might even lead the whole atmosphere of a film, driving its narrative.
A separate and synchronized sound track was introduced by Warner Bros in 1927 with the movie called The Jazz singer, also during that time there were also other innovations like color and widescreen, sound.
Music has always been seen as a part of films for they where not meant to be watched in total silence. I think that movies are about portraying segments of life and existence , in which the environment always consist of sounds.
Nowadays movies industry gains huge profits from sales of movie soundtracks, and the importance of music is evident in nearly every single one of today’s movies: A good example is in Celine Dion’s Titanic title song became number one in many countries all around the world having its share in making it the one of the most profitable film of all times. And when watching movie trailers, very frequently they includes a list of the bands playing on the soundtrack.

A third use of sound could be a speech, in which language can be used in different ways, like in a conversation between characters (which means dialogue), as an inner monologue or voices inside somebody’s head. Or speech can be used from a narrator’s point of view having its origin not in the present tense of the film. Speeches definitely seems to be most observed by an audience, still it leaves the director many choices and is highly characteristic: accents, stuttering, high or deep voices, etc.

Talkies.

The talkies are films in which includes dialogues, music or other types of sound. In Hollywood talkies had a profound impact in technology used to play or record audio material. Prior to talkies, silent films were accompanied to live orchestras that were played in the theaters. The thought of talking on movies are because the viewers want to concentrate on the scenes and the dialogues of the film.
In 1900s there were attempts to reproduce sounds in films. The pioneers had to face many problems due to sound films. At first one of them was the synchronize the recording in films, was very challenging because of the devices that to use for back audio to be display with the movie. After years they used a sound on a disc technology, which made more easier to developed sound in films, in was called vitaphone. The first talkie with full length was called The Jazz singer. Many people at the beginning were complaining about talkies. Later on orchestras got unsuccessful and theaters stopped hiring them all over the world.

VITAPHONE.

The vitaphone was a sound film process that was used for he fist time in 1926, and produced by Warner Bros. This was also known as the sound on disc process in films. The disc was played while the film was being presented to the viewers. Talkies used this process, one of them was The Jazz Singer. This terms derives from a Latin and Greek word, which means living and sound. Wrner Bros introduced this process with film shorts recorded inBrooklyn. It was also release of the silent film Don Juan, which also included in that time a classical musicians. AVATAR.

This science fiction film was released in 2009 by James Cameron. This film started in 2006, by making the first script of alliens, which now are the characters of Avatar. According to Wikipedia, they tell us that in the script it includes 1000 vocabulary words and wit 30 invented words by Cameron. Cameron hired Jordu Schell to help him with the designs of the Navi ans some other sculptures. This film has a lot of special effects and the CGI effects, specially in doubles, the designs of the features of the characters, the Navis and the background or scenarios. The visual effects of this movie were created with the help of Weta Digital.
While making this film, they had created different parts in which includes different support and help of different kind of people that could take care of their departments, which includes the flora, fauna and pandora departments. That means that they were well organized in that departments and it means that each of them were responsible of their parts. According to Wikipedia and copied from it: (Estimates put the cost of the film at about $280–310 million to produce and an estimated $150 million for marketing, noting that about $30 million in tax credits will lessen the financial impact on the studio and its financiers.A studio spokesperson, said that the budget "is $237 million, with $150 million for promotion, end of story.), which means that this film is one of the most expensive comparing to other movies. This film was experienced by a small book in which the director read when he was kid and it shares themes with the films At Play in the Fields of the Lord, The Emerald Forest, and Princess Mononoke, which feature clashes between cultures and civilizations. We can see that the whole movie includes special, visual, CGI and more effects that makes the movie be more unique, but according to many people opinion, this movie had no message. This film started being shot in 2007 in LA, Wellington and New Zealand, in which this film was combined with virtual and real environments. The director used photorealistic computer-generated character. The soundtrack of the movie was composed by James Horners, in which there were small parts of chorus singers.

GROWN UPS.

Each day we enjoy our life, our special moments. We enjoy in parties, in journeys, trips, shopping, eating, sleeping, dating etc.
This is the case of the four teammates that used to be while they were in high school training with their coach. This production of Dennis Dugan was released in June of 2010. This is a good comedian example that make us realize that each day that passes by, we can enjoy the best of our lives with our friends, it doesn't matter where we are or with whom we are, the only thing is that we have to enjoy our life each moment, as it would be our last day of our lives. The shooting of this film started in May 2009 in Massachusetts. The soundtrack of the film was composed by Rupert Gregson. According to Wikipedia, On August 19, 2010, the film has grossed $158,323,668 in the United States and Canada and $49,789,538 in other countries, with a worldwide gross of $208,113,20. I recommend to you this film because I am pretty sure that you will going to laugh a lot as I did, just for fun watching the trailer of this film, seems to be awesome.

SPECIAL EFFECTS.

Nowadays see enjoy spending some free time by watching good movies, and most of the time we get surprised, because of the quantity of special effects that the films have. The special effects are been used in films, television, theater, or entertainment. The special effects are divided into two. The optical and the mechanical effects. Special effects are being recognized as mechanical effects and in camera optical effects. The optical effects are the ones that are created photographically, like for being used in backgrounds or sets. The mechanical effects are the ones that are usually being used in real live performance or shooting, like for weather effects such as rain, snow, dust etc. Also this effects had been used for make up. According to wikipedia, in 1895, Alfred Clark created what is commonly accepted as the first-ever motion picture special effect. While filming a reenactment of the beheading of Mary, Queen of Scots, Clark instru Here we can take as an example 'Superman', where at a given moment we hear and we see part of a building collapse. Special effects are the effects that can really happen.
Special effects make movies more interesting and stir up our curiosity to understand how different scenes in the movie have been created.

POST GRAD

Hey guys, today I am going to talk you about this comedy film that was released in 2009 by Vicky Jenson. Ryden Malby is the main character of this movie, where she is a young girl that had just graduated from college. She is a humble girl who is simple, honest and lovely. She is a girl who is looking for a job in Los Angeles. During the movie we can see how she experience some obstacles but where she got rid of them. This movie according to wikipedia during the opening weekend the film opened at number 11, grossing $2,651,996. This film received many critics. Most of the shots that had been used in this film are close ups, wide shots and extreme close ups, where we can see the details of the different scenarios where the movie took place such as schools, homes, markets etc. Also by the close ups we can see the reactions that the characters had during their problems and we can se how their emotions can change during their situations. I realized that many thins can happen during our lives, we don't know what could happen or what is going to happen in the future. Maybe you can have many plans in the future, but might be Gods wild that they should not be completed, so things can change for a good or bad situation, where we should accepted in any case. So maybe we can have a vision of our future, but in any moment things can happen and our lives can change completely. Sometimes also it can be hard to get what we want, but with support and confidence we can achieve them little by little and get what we want. Hope you realize the same as I did. :)

Cutaways

Cutaways is a way of technique that had been used in film making, it is an interruption of a continuously film action by a view of other thing.
In some cases the filmmaker uses this technique to help the editor to assemble a longer sequence, so thats why editors choose this technique related to the main action, such as another action or object in the same location. This technique is more common been use in drama movies, where they are adjust the pace to the main action to conceal the deletion of some unwanted part of the main shot. Not only in drama movies this technique is been use, it is also use in Horror films, where maybe tat first they would show you the face of a murder preparing for kill someone and then it change and shows you the person who is gonna die, and shows you how is gonna die.

Cheap by a dozen.

Hey guys, this time I am going to talk about this film that was created by Shawn Levy in 2003 and 2005. This film won 2 Oscars awards. This movie had a budget of $40.000 millions according to Wikipedia. We can see in this movie a big and great family that shared good and bad moments. This seven brothers started from fightings to hugs. We can see that life is wonderful, is a great gift that God had gave us. We should share our moments with our family, because they are the only ones that are going to be with you in bad and good times. If we have older brothers we should love them as little brothers. If we have little brothers we should take care of them every time, because they need our help. If we have older brothers we should love them a lot, because they know a little bit more about life. This movie "Cheaper By The Dozen" is a remake of the 1950 film based on Frank and Ernestine Gilbreth's book about growing up in a large family, according to a resource. This is a comedy film, where we can see most of the movie wide shots, because the director want to show us the hole family during the sets, where the entire family appears.

Poduction.

Production is the most important part od doing a movie. Where the cast and the crew mwmbers spend many hours in the set shooting parts of the movie. The films always are going to have different takes of a scene. Its because actors, actresses during the shooting of the scene, they can get confused or they can say wrong their dailog, or maybe the director doesnt like that scenes because of something, so thats why in film it exists differents takes of the same scene. During the production of a fil it might take hours, days, weeks, months, it depends on the movie, how the plot is presented or how manny things do the movie needs to be done. During this part of the movie the most important things that the director and the cast neeeds to pay attention is the lighting, the location, the weather, because this important things is what determines the movie.
In one word production can be told as shooting scenes.

Peal harbor.

Hi guys I would like to talk about this film that was created in 2001 by Michael Bay.
This film is based in real content, where it show us the second war, when USA was involucrated to the war with Japan. During this huge problem, the president was Teddy Roosevelt. This movie show us that human being never knows when something is going to happen, so we should live our life if its the last day of our lives. We can see how people were dying every second and every moment. It was a huge war, where many people died because of explotions or because of being shot. We should take life with peace. The budget of this movie was of $208 millions according to wikipedia.
This movie was for PG-13, because of their high images of blood and deaths. 13 going on 30.

Hi guys I would like to talk about this comedy film that was released in 2004 by Gary Winick. This movie show us how a 13 young girl wanted to be 30 young woman. She wanted to be a young woman because she wanted to make with her life whatever she wants. I think that most of teenagers want to grow up very fast and be an adult, just because they want to be free, to do whatever they want. I think that they want to be aduts because they can party everyday, the can drive, drink, they can buy whatever they want, and they can take any decision. I think that being a child id the ebst part of our lives, because you can do many things, and you pass a great time with your friends, is the best part where you only have in your mind studies.
The bad things of being adults is that you have to work to survive, you have to pay bills, you have many responsabilities. We should take advantage of our childhood and enjoy every moment with our friends, because is the best parto of ourlives which we would never forget.

Storyboards.

Storyboards are important graphics or pictures that organizes the events in a sequence of your story. This was developed by Walt Disney during 1930's. It was created for the 3 little pigs. The first time was created to illustrate animated cartoons. Many of silent movies had also storyboard, but in 1940's storyboards for action films were also been used. The storyboard is a succession on images or pictures being illustrated in a comic way that shorltly represents most of your scenes. As I already told you Walt Disney was the one who created this, by drawing the scenes in separate pieces of paper with some information and the order it would gonna be, and then with a sequence so in that way it would be easier to tell the story. The first action film to complete use the storyboard was Gone with the wind. The storyboard is the one that provides to you a visual layout of all the events in the film that will be been focus by the camera.

TITANIC

I would like to talk today about this film that until know is been seen. It was released the 1997 and directed by James Cameron.

This movie won 11 Oscars in: best art direction set, best cinematography, best costume, best director, best effects and sound, best film editing, best music, best picture etc. This movie is very interesting because it has good and bad moments, also it combines from romantic scenes to despair scenes. This is a film that show us, or make us realize that our life is not purchased. We have to enjoy it every moment, because maybe today we are here but tomorrow we wont. We should live our life to the maximum as we can. This film started being shot in Akademik Mstislav Keldysh. The film took 160 days, where many of the cast members got sick because of being in the cold water for many hours. The cost of this film started being $200 million. The used many special effects such as how the ship breaks at almost the end, how people where falling down, how the water was entering to the ship etc. The music or sound for Titanic was from James Horner. Dolly.

The camera Dolly is used in film that creates a smooth movements during filming, they are used in dolly shots. The camera is mounted in the dolly. It is used with frequent in tracking shoots, on horizontal axis. To be more easier to move dolly, you may create some fairly simple dollies. The Skate wheels dollies evolve the from ball bearing dollies and in that way it made shooting sound possible. In 1964 Jim Gordon and Cecil Love made the first field model. There are Dollies that have 2 and 4 wheels. Fisher made a dolly with 8 wheels on a truck that had 4 corners. The dolly records the shot as the characters move. The dolly shot is also known as the tracking shot. Some of the dollies could be move without tracks.

The proposal.

This film make us realize that love is every where, you never know when and how is going to happen. I think that been in love in one of the most wonderful things that someone could have, because you share many moments and things with the person that you really love. But like this movie I think that this kind of love exist. In this movie we could see that it begins when the executive chief of a book publishing forces to marry his assistant because she was going to be deported to Canada. This movie has a lot of romantic and funny parts which make the viewers realize about love and think on how decisions affect your life. The music of this film was composed by Aaron Zigman. Schindler list.

Hey guys i would like to talk about this interesting film that had won 7 Oscars, best by: art direction- set decoration, best cinematography, best director, best film editing, best music, best picture and best writing screen plays. This film is based in real life, during World War 2. Oscar Schindler, the main character is a businessman, and member of the Nazi party who saved thousands of Jews from the holocaust. The main character plays a role of by employing Jews in his factory, where at the beginning he had hope to use abundant cheap labour force Jews to manufacture goods for the German army. So in that way he saves them by being transported to the concentration camps or being killed. This man plays a role of intelligent, humble, collaborated, and a man who has a good heart. Theres is a part in the film that was interesting, because we can se reflection. This part was when Oscar was looking the Jews that were asking for help, but at the same time we can see that shadow of Oscar. The film was presented in black and white, but there is a important part where we could see a young little girl that was wearing a red coat. This young girl represents that Schindler has changed. At the beginning he saw this young little girl walking in the street, but the he saw the body of this young girl with some other death people, so this girl represented a change, where Oscar could wanted to help more Jews. The candles also represents when the Jews bodies were burning. This movie was called Schindler list, because it was a list of Jews people where Oscar was remembering for hiring them so they could survive. This movie made $96.1 million in the United States, $321.2 million worldwide and in Germany over 5.8 million tickets were sold. John williams composed the music of this film, he played the piano, and Spielberg hired Itzhak Perlman to perform on the violin. This movie had some controversies because of the sex scenes, or the naked scenes and because of the way the in the movie was showed how the Jews were shot or killed. This movie is to strong, but i believe that is necessary to watch it because in that way we could see how Jewish life were affected, who they had to live, and how the were mistreated. We should thanks God every day of our lives that we are still alive and we should also thanks him because our daily bread.

Fireproof.

Hi guys I would like to talk about a film call Fireproof that was released in 2008 by Alex Kendrick.
This fireman, Caleb always use to said, "never leave your partner behind", He is married with a young woman call Catherine.
their marriage is almost over, where both has no communication, and it's almost over.
I think that when you marry someone you have to think if you really love that person, because it is a big decision in life, were not only you have to think about yourself , either you have to think of your other partner, because now is part of yourself. Like this two couples, first every marriage has problems at their beginning, but thats normal. I think that in marriage you need to have a good communication and respect, because thats the bases of marriage. Like in this movie, Caleb had no respect with Catherine, it is almost like in the movies, the woman has been insulted several times and has to take care where they live. In my opinion communication in marriage is important, so decisions could be make easily. I also think that taking care of things at home is not only for the woman, the men should also do something for it, help his wife in many aspects.
This part of the movie make me realize that when you have a goal, you fight for it until the end, it doesn't matter how hard it is it, or how hard it seems to be, but at the end been proud of yourself of been sacrifice. Maybe I think that we have in life a second chance, to change and be a good human being, isn't hard but either isn't easy, the only thing that we have to do is to give it a chance. Like in the movie that this young fireman wanted to change, and be a good husband, to make the marriage be ok.

CHARACTERS DETAILS:
Caleb Holt is a talented and dedicated fire captain with a slew of off-the-clock problems. His wife hates him and wants to divorce. He is a men who is disrespectful, who like to scream to his wife, who wanted everything done at home, where loves to see porn in a old computer.

Catherine, a young woman who is a hospital worker who might be Kristen Wiig’s twin, hates him and wants a divorce.
She is a woman who is very serious. Her mother can not talk. She thinks that her marriage is over, and she starts like dating with a doctor in the same hospital where she works.

HORROR FILMS

Horror films:
They are movies that show emotions of fear, horror and terror from viewers. Their plots involve themes of death, the supernatural or mental illness.
Early horror movies used literature of the gothic/horror genre, such as Dracula, Frankenstein, The Phantom of the Opera, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
Some horror films incorporate elements of other genres such as science fiction, fantasy, mockumentary, black comedy, and thrillers.

Horror films, when done well and with less reliance on horrifying special effects, can be extremely potent film forms, tapping into our dream states and the horror of the irrational and unknown, and the horror within man himself. (The best horror films only imply or suggest the horror in subtle ways, rather than blatantly displaying it, i.e., Val Lewton's horror films.) In horror films, the irrational forces of chaos or horror invariably need to be defeated, and often these films end with a return to normalcy and victory over the monstrous.

Their main characters have included "unknown," human, supernatural or grotesque creatures, ranging from vampires, demented madmen, devils, unfriendly ghosts, monsters, mad scientists, "Frankensteins," "Jekyll/Hyde" dualities, demons, zombies, evil spirits, arch fiends, Satanic villains, the "possessed," werewolves and freaks to even the unseen, diabolical presence of evil.

Horror films started in the 1890's appear in several of the silent shorts created by film pioneers such as Georges Méliès in the late 1890s, the most notable being his 1896 Le Manoir du diable "The House of the Devil" which is sometimes credited as being the first horror film. Another of his horror projects was 1898's La Caverne maudite (aka "The Cave of the unholy one", literally "the accursed cave".

Chroma key.

The Chroma key compositing or chroma keying is a technique that is used for compositing two images or frames together in which a color or a small color range from one image is removed, revealing another image behind it. This technique is also referred to as color keying, colour-separation overlay greenscreen, and bluescreen. This technique is very common for being used for weather forecast broadcasts, to the presenter appears to be standing in front of a large map, but in the studio it is actually a large blue or green background. The meteorologist stands in front of a bluescreen, and then different weather maps are added on those parts in the image where the color is blue. If the meteorologist himself wears blue clothes, his clothes will become replaced with the background video.

Forrest Gump

This movie was created in 1994, by Robert Zemeckis. I really liked this film, because we could see that it has some montages like the meetings with Elvis Presley, JFK, Richard Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, John Lenon, and some other scenarios like Vietnam, Savannah etc. I also liked this movie, because we can see how Forrest mom tell him that he is like everyone, he is the same, he is not less than other. We can noticed how his mom gave him support , how proud she was of Forrest. I also liked because we can see how this character played in this movie, he was a good husband, a good friend, by saving his friends life from death, also how healthy he was by making some sports. He was a good father, a good shrimper, a good son. This character was simple, humble, and honest. He show us a lot of values. This movie show us values, and equality for everyone, because it doesn't matter what color we are, what religion we practice, how we talk or how we act, because for God eyes we are the same. This movie has a lot of visual effects that were difficult to make, because the responsible for visual effects had to use some techniques at the time to shake the hand of Forrest to JFK, or in the moment where Forrest was with John Lenon etc. Also how voices were amended. Also they used techniques like chroma key warping, morphing, and rotoscoping. How they made Hurricane scene, and Vietnam war scene. Also how they created visual effects to make million of people when Forrest spots Jenny at a peace rally at Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. This movie started with flashbacks and many scenarios, many changes, that can let us notice how years were passing by.

The bird of nation.

This movie from 1915, caused controversial problems, because of its racist portrayal of the period after US civil war.
In thisMovie there are some technical aspects, D.W. Griffith, is a crucial figure in the history of American cinema. In movies such as Intolerance and Broken Blossoms, and especially in The Birth of a Nation, he introduced a number of new techniques and styles, like, the long, narrative movie, the close-up, the wide angle shot. He also helped encourage the careers of some of Hollywood's first movie stars, especially the Gish sisters (Lillian Gish plays the main female character in Birth of A Nation) and Mary Pickford. Both the Gishes and Pickford became famous actresses and influential Hollywood figures who produced movies of their own.
The Civil War saw Americans take arms against each other over issues such as slavery and federal versus state power that had existed since the founding of the United States. The period after the war, known as Reconstruction, was just as tense and controversial. After the South lost the war, both northern and southern whites, and African-Americans, struggled to reconstruct the region and the nation.

The last song.

Hi guys, this week I would like to talk about a drama, romance movie call The last song, that was released in 2010, the director is Julie Anne Robison. A seventeen yeas old Veronica got upset when her parents got divorced, and her father moved to Tybee Island. She remained angry with her parent, until her mother sended her and his brother to spend the summer with their parent. Her father was a former concert pianist and teacher, where he will become the centerpiece of the local church. She found a cute guy in the beach, with the one she started getting in love.

They pass all summer in the beach, knowing from each other. Veronica's father died after been detected of cancer. I think that most of teenagers have problems with their parents, but God knows why things happen and how it used to happen, we only have to accept it, the way they are, and we should put a good face to that problems so we could grow up as mature human being. I think that the most important in the world is our parents, because they are the ones who give us support and ideas, the one who care about us, so we should be glad of having them alive.!

Thursday, May 13, 2010

Hi guys this week. I'm going to talk about a Adventure, Drama film that was released in 2009 and directed by Mira Nair.
Amelia Earhart discovers the thrill of aviation when she was already 23 years old. During 12 years she was winning The Distinguished Flying Cross for being the first woman pilot around the world to across the Atlantic Ocean. During this movie we can see her adventures from winning many prices, from being sad, from getting married and from flying around many parts with good and bad wether conditions. George Palmer Putnam, a NY publisher founded a woman to make a transatlantic flight, and Amelia accepted the risky adventure. Amelia told a quote that says: Defying The Impossible. Living The Dream. I think that when we have a dream, we should make it become true, if we fight for it and we trust that it is going to happen, it wont be difficult to make it happen. We should fight for our wishes and desires. If we do things with a good mood, things would become easy and very good as we expected.

The name Warner Bros, come from the four brothers, Harry ,Albert, Sam, and Jack. In 1918 the Warners brothers started with the productions of their movies, and they founded their own studio in Hollywood. In 1923 was incorporated the Warner Bros pictures, Inc. During the silent are, they hired a pianist during the presentation of the movies. In 1925 Sam Warner wanted to know a way to save money, instead of wasting it with the pianist, so the Vitaphone was created, there was sound in the movies. STEPFATHER.

Hi guys, during this week, I saw a suspense film, this movie was released in 2009 and directed by Nelson McCormick. Michael, a young guy returns home from a military school to find his mother Susan, when he arrives home, he noticed that his mother was in love with David, a clever killer. David seems to be the perfect father and husband at the same time, but they don't know that this man is a killer, that ends with the life of all the families. Michael knows that something wrong is happening, he suspects that this man wasn't quiet and calm he seems to be. Michael, his girlfriend and Michael's biological father are searching of this mystery, to know who was this guy. He started killing his neighbor, that was an old woman who already knew that was a killer. The family noticed late that this guy was not what they expected, Michael during this mystery founded out that his biological father was dead, and was killed by David, during this time Michael already knew that David notice it, so they start fighting where both fall off from the roof of the house, his family were in danger, but at the end Michael stays in coma, and David escaped from the house, where he didn't end with his purpose. I think that most of the stepparents have a bad purpose or they pretend to be the perfect parents, but I think that during the time you will notice it. I think that the communication is the most important think between you and the "stranger", because in that way you will notice their feelings and behavior, so you can be aware of any problem. In that way you will avoid problems and misunderstandings. I think that for a mother or father the most important of being in a relationship is that this person love her children, because if this person do not care about them that show you that he/she doesn't love you or care you.

In Film industry -

● in 1927,The Jazz Singer starring Al Jolson, was the first talkie.
● a well-known early two-colour film was The Toll of the Sea (1922) and two-colour films were common by the end of the 1920s; after 1932, films were produced in three-colour technicolour.

My sister's keeper

Hey guys this week I would like to talk about a sad film directed by Nick Cassavetes and released in 2009. Anna, the eleven years old sister of Kate and Jesse wants to emancipate from her mother, with the help of a lawyer. This little girl wants to emancipate from her mother because she refuses to donate her kidney to her sister Kate. Since Anna was little she has been helping her sister donating many organs and with many medical exams. Her sister Kate has Leukemia, so her mother Sara went to the court to obligate her daughter Anna to donate her kidney to her sister. But Sara doesn't want to accept that her daughter Kate wants to die, because she believes that she wont survive the surgery. Anna won the case and after that, Kate died. Most of the movie we can se flashbacks where it shows us how was Kate's life, her life was not easy, she had to pass from many surgeries, chemotherapies, and vomiting. I think that this movie show us how we should fight for things, things are not easy but not complicated at all. We can see how Kate fight for her life during most of her childhood, I think that with all the support of her family and by being together with her, that helped her to fell secure and comfortable during her disease. But I think that sometime we have to accept things how they are, because things happens for a reason, and God knows about it. In my personal opinion the most important of this situation is to make feel this people secure, comfortable, happy, and be together during all this difficult problem, showing them our support and our love. We should remember the good things of this people, and we shall no cry for them, because they are in better place where God is taking care of them.

visual effects

Visual effects are various processes by imagery is changed and manipulated outside from reality.
There are 4 types of visual effects: -live action effects, digital animation, stills and matte paintings, and models.
Nowadays most of the movies are created with visual effects, the most recognized movies are: King Kong, Narnia, The lord of the rings, Titanic, Avatar, 2012, Matrix, Pirates of the caribbean, spiderman, Star wars etc. Le Voyage dans la lune (1902) was the first movie to have visual effects. From 1910 to 1920, the main innovation in special effects were the improvements on the matte shot by Norman Dawn. With the original matte shot, pieces of cardboard were placed to block the exposure of the film, which would be exposed later. Dawn combined this technique with the "glass shot". During the 1920s and 1930s, special effects techniques were improved and refined by the motion picture industry. Many techniques like Schüfftan process were modifications of illusions from the theater and still photography.
THE LORD OF THE RINGS:
This film has from the first movie 540, the second one 799, and the last one 1488, a total of 2730.
260 visual effects artist worked in this movie. This movie won 3 oscars as the best movie with visual effects, in the 3 movies.

2012

Hi guys, today I am going to talk about a film that has caused some controversy, this film was created by Roland Emmerich and released in 2009. This movie talks about the global warming, and effects but it also talks how the world is going to end. In this movie you can see how California, the scenario of the movie, and other cities are getting destroy by tsunamis, high scale earthquakes, tornadoes, heavy rains, volcanic eruptions etc. You can see in this movie all the effects that happens because of global warming, this movie show us that the world is going to end like this if we continue destroying our planet. The effects that this can cause are: rising sea levels, threatened cultures, increasing yields, decreased snowpack, severe storms, species extinction, changes in precipitation, flooding, reduction in sea ice, changing of forests, changing range of diseases, population in risk, heat waves, reduced waves, reduced tourism, droughts, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc. You also see how cities starts flooding and how people start dying. We should consider that the future depend on us, and this is the world that we want for our future generation? Do we really care about our planet, our mother nature? You can see how everyday weather changes a lot, every time you see how the sunlight is becoming stronger that you can hear with frequency how people are getting sick with many diseases like cancer, and breathing problems. We should start thinking in our nature, in our planet, to have a better life and a better home. If we still playing with this, less that you expected the world would come to its end.

Magic Lanterns.

Magic lanterns of the style were made as early as the 18th century and references to such devices can be found even earlier. The little 'nursery' magic lantern is powered by a tiny kerosene lamp and was made in Germany by E.P. (Ernst Plank Co.) probably in the 1920's or 30's. It can project a small image about 2 feet by 2 feet.
The magic lantern or Lanterna Magica was an early prototype of the modern slide projector. The basic setup is simple: There is a concave mirror behind a light source that gathers light and projects it through a slide with an image painted onto it. The light rays cross an aperture (which is an opening at the front of the apparatus), and hits a lens. The lens throws an enlarged picture of the original image from the slide onto a screen.

Just married.

Hi guys, today I am going to talk about a funny movie that I had just found among my things. This film was created by Shawn Levy and was released on 2003.These two young guys who love each other despite being very different. He, a modest traffic reporter for an evening program, plus the guy passionate sports, Tom Leezak (Ashton Kutcher). She, Sarah (Brittany Murphey) is a writer with elegant manners and wealthy family in Beverly Hills, against the wishes of the family and her boyfriend, these two decide to marry. Their honeymoon was spent in Italy , but quickly tured into a big disaster which ended in a big fight, but after that, both realizes that they really love and care about each other. For me this movie is very romantic because after a lot of disagreements and after many fights both realizes the lovs is what they feel, and there are always another chance, and that is how it works, couples most of the time have fights between them but little by little you are going to deal with it.

Film theory

Films blossomed in the 1920's , Most of the US films production at the start ocurred near Hollywood on the West coast
although some films were still being made in New Jersey and in Astoria on Long Island (Paramount). By the mid-20s, movies were big business (with a capital investment totaling over $2 billion) with some theatres offering double features. By the end of the decade, there were 20 Hollywood studios, and the demand for films was greater than ever. Most people are unaware that the greatest output of feature films in the US occurred in the 1920s and 1930s (averaging about 800 film releases in a year) - nowadays, it is remarkable when production exceeds 500 films in a year.

Throughout most of the decade, silent films were the predominant product of the film industry. But the films were becoming bigger costlier, and more polished. They were being manufactured, assembly-line style, in Hollywood's 'entertainment factories,in which production was broken down and organized into its various components (writing, costuming, makeup, directing, etc.).

Even the earliest films were organized into genres or types, with instantly-recognizable storylines, settings, costumes, and characters. The first feature documentary or non-fictional narrative film.

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS

Hello friends, I am going to talk about one of my favorite films. This film was created by Tom Vaughan and was released on 2008.
This comedy starts when two strangers, Joy Mc Nally (Cameron Diaz) and Jack Fuller (Ashton Kutcher), woke up in the same bed and realized that they had just gotten married in Las Vegas. Jack Fuller won a prize in a casino and both were making plans in order to get rid of each other and keep the money that every time it got more complicated to do so; at the end they only found out that they were in love; and after being divorced they wanted to remarry. We can see how this film was created based on real life events, because nowadays we can notice that strange stories are happening. You can see that many people are drinking, playing, dancing, buying and doing crazy things very easily. I really like this movie because it has a lot of sense of humor , and it has good scenes where you see how each one starts caring of one another. This movie has many types of scenes from the sad ones to romantic ones. At the end I was shocked because I didn't expect that they could fall in love and get married again, so it makes you experience a lot of emotions and a lot of humor. This film made me realize that before doing crazy things you have to think, and what consequences that might lead to; also to control yourself and not judge other people before getting to know them as Joy did it with Jack.
